Packages & Costs
All packages (except the postnatal package) include:
- A booking appointment: this usually lasts about two hours to take a full comprehensive medical history.
- All antenatal appointments will include a well-being check for you and your baby and continued personalised care to support your pregnancy.
- From 28 weeks of pregnancy; appointments are every two weeks until 36 weeks, and then weekly visits till birth.
- At around 36 weeks there is an extended birth preparation session. This usually lasts about two hours. Where we will discuss your birth plans together. I can explore and advise you on labour and birth, including what to pack in a birth bag and how to manage a baby who is in a hurry to make an appearance.
- I will be on call to attend your labour and birth from 37-42 weeks of pregnancy – this includes either birth at home or support in hospital.
- Postnatally I will provide you with four weeks of care from the birth.
- Inclusive of NIPE, if baby born at home or if this is required if baby is born in the Hospital.
- Day 5* Newborn Blood Spot Screening test (NBBS).
- This care can be used alongside your NHS midwife and doctor appointments or as a complete stand-alone midwifery care service.
- Phone and WhatsApp support between appointments.
- All care includes indemnity insurance.
Classic Care Package
£8,500
This is the most comprehensive package, providing personalised care at home, at a mutually convenient time for you and your partner.
- Antenatal care starting from as early in the pregnancy as you like and continuing throughout the antenatal period
- A visit every four weeks from your booking appointment up until 28 weeks of pregnancy.
- Then care continues as outlined above .
Mini Care Package
£7,500
This is an ideal package for those who have had a baby before but want the care, support and assurance of having a known and trusted midwife to provide continuity of care in order to meet your individual needs..
- Antenatal care starts at 30 weeks and continues through the antenatal period as outlined above.
Antenatal & Postnatal Care Packages
£4,100– £4,900
These packages offer care only in the antenatal and postnatal period and DO NOT include any labour and birth care.
These packages are designed for women who are possibly planning elective caesarean sections, for those who just want additional support antenatally and postnatally, and/or are wanting the convenience and reassurance of seeing a known and qualified midwife in their own home to receive more time and advice specifically tailored to their individual needs.
You can choose to book this as a complete AN & PN package, with antenatal care starting from as early in the pregnancy as you like and continuing throughout the antenatal period with visit every four weeks up until 28 weeks of pregnancy. (See care pathway above,)
OR
You can choose this as with the antenatal and postnatal element of Mini Care Package, with your antenatal care starting a little later in your pregnancy at 30 weeks. (See care pathway above.)
Postnatal Care Package
£2,000
This is an exclusively postnatal care-only package, providing you with four weeks of postnatal care in your home following birth.
The first week following the birth consists of intensive visits to ensure you are given as much support as you need to adjust to your new family unit.
All visits are tailored to your needs, and I am available for advice and support via messaging, emails and phone calls in between visits.
- Evidence-based feeding support and advice from a qualified IBCLC and Tongue-Tie practitioner;
- The newborn blood spot screening, and;
- Monitoring the weight and development of your new baby.
- I also help advise you on your physical and emotional recovery and well-being following your birth.
Other services
- Single, one off holistic Antenatal or Postnatal well-being check for Mother and Baby (if postnatal) - COST = £300
- Additional Antenatal or Postnatal appointments – COST = £175 per visit
- 34-36 Birth Planning Session – COST = £300*
This is an extended birth preparation session. Prior to this session I will email you a birth planning document to read in preparation. The session can take place in person or by Zoom (whichever you prefer) and usually lasts about two – three hours.
We will discuss your birth plans and preferences, explore and advise you on labour and birth, including, but not exclusive to, monitoring in labour, food and drink, types of birth and analgesia options, birth bags, what an emergency can look like, and babies who are in a hurry to make an appearance.
NO CLINICAL CARE WILL BE PROVIDED* (£100 discount offered if you have booked the PN package, included as part of all other packages)
- Lactation Consultant Feeding Support sessions with a qualified IBCLC – COST = £350 for the initial appointment (normally lasts 2-3 hours).
- £150 for any ad hoc follow-up appointments (normally 1.5 hours).
- £750 for a block of feeding support visits.
